| Artist Statement I first came up with this idea because I wanted to explore more abstract art versus the more concrete and detailed painting or drawing I normally do. Paint is my favorite medium because I love how it is mixable and you can swirl it around on whatever you are painting on, and put it just about anywhere. I chose to elaborate on this through the art element of texture, because there's something about the visual contrast and tangibility of it that is really fulfilling to work with. Vail Carter |
