| Art Faculty Exhibition ’25 September 15 - October 3, 2025 This exhibition highlights the studio art practices of the Austin College Art Faculty. The exhibit has a range of media, approaches, and themes. The artwork in the exhibition underscores the breadth of contemporary faculty practice—ranging from the personal to the cultural, the humorous to the reflective—and invites viewers to experience the distinctive voices shaping the art program at Austin College. Jess Reinhard (painting and drawing) His bright vibrant acrylic paintings are rooted in graphic arts and graffiti. The paintings are charged with energy, weaving together mythology and complex narratives through frenetic layers of paint. J. C. Neihardt (sculpture and ceramics) An interdisciplinary artist who uses ceramics, installation, and video to create semi-autobiographical art that explores personal experience touched with an edge of dark humor. Mark Monroe (sculpture and ceramics) Is an artist who focuses on the reuse of materials, investigating the culture of space and the ways we interact with historic objects. Brianna Burnett (photography and digital media) Uses photography to explore identity, storytelling, family, and history, with a particular emphasis on and experience of place. Her photographs often draw on historical processes, foregrounding both their material presence and experiential qualities. Tim Tracz (photography) He began his career making socially oriented documents, though his work has consistently contained threads of humor and self-discovery. The photographs in this exhibition highlight design and form as discovered in nature. |
