Objective

Plywood Sculpture Project Week

Discussion of maquettes and strengths and weaknesses of each students work. (critique) Divide into work groups for discussion of final resolutions to sculpture problem. Tour of sculpture facility and lecture on tool use and safety.

Assignment: Art Fundamentals edition #5 pages, edition #6 pages

Meet with group and plan final strategies for group sculpture, this will include how to economically cut all pieces out of two 8x10 sheets of plywood, placement of sculpture on campus including site forms and permission from proper authorities and finally distribution of labor and time.
Work in sculpture facility (with power tools) to create group sculpture. All major cutting needs to be accomplished this day.

Work in sculpture lab on construction.

Tour of sculpture projects and critique of finished product.
Class evaluations.

Final note, any and all materials or projects left in the fundamentals room will be discarded.

Exam Week all class materials are due by noon.
