I. Plant Label Information -- How to make a label for plant specimens.

Labels should be printed using a standard font (e.g., times size 12) and printed on a good or high quality laser printer. If you're careful you can get at least two and often three labels on the same sheet of paper (make the top margin narrow). You will see some actual examples in laboratory.

You will get archival paper from the reserve desk at the library or from George Diggs. Practice before you use the archival paper!

After they're printed, carefully cut the labels apart using a paper cutter (there is one in the Botany lab). They should be cut to leave a small white margin around the printed text. (Note: Do not put a black box around your labels).
