Plants & Civilization -- Medicinal/Drug Plant Write-up

Assignment: Each student will be required to do a short summary of up-to-date information about a particular medicinal/drug plant and the material obtained from the plant. The final product will be a one page (typed, double-spaced) write-up and an associated literature cited (references and basic information to include should be treated in the same manner as done for the research paper assignment---see that web page for details). Since this assignment is ONLY ONE PAGE in length, careful thought and organization are critical. The grade will be determined by the depth of research, the recentness of the references, and the integration, organization and understanding shown in the write-up. The assignment is due at class time on Monday, 16 January. Staple this sheet to the front of your paper prior to handing it in.
