Life at the Edge: Extreme Evolution -- Real Food Dinner Writeup

Assignment: Each student will be required to do a write-up about a real food dinner that they themselves prepare using "real" food ingredients (as discussed in class). The final product will be a one page or less (typed, double-spaced) write-up composed of three paragraphs. The first paragraph should give the menu of the dinner you prepared. The second paragraph should list ALL ingredients used (in the portion of the dinner you prepared since you are working in a group) and briefly discuss why you consider your meal to be real food. The third should be a brief assessment of your dinner. The assignment is due at class time on Tues., 17 January. You will be given money to purchase ingredients for the dinner (all must be "paleo"). "Fast" food or preprepared food is not allowed. The assignment will be discussed in class including the formation of small "groups" for cooking the dinner—groups will be used both for learning purposes and due to limitations on food preparation facilities.
