This is an
introductory course designed for students who do not intend to continue
further study in the sciences. Course topics include emerging pandemic
diseases, genetic engineering, evolution of life, and human impacts on
the environment. Students in this course will participate in role-playing
discussions and practical exercises in addition to completing extensive
writing assignments and traditional examinations.
Powerpoint lecture slideshows
can be viewed on the Austin College campus by using a Macintosh computer
with Powerpoint 2001. Find the FACBOX folder on the Alcestis server.
Go into Kim Snipes' folder, then PwPt folder, and then the NS11 folder
to find the individual lectures.
