Austin College -- Ornithology Alumni
"Because they fly, they also
leave the nest."
Since
1994, 103 students have been involved in ornithology at Austin College.
96 of those students have taken the Ornithology course. 14 students
have completed directed, independent, and summer research projects. (7
students took the course and did research projects.) These
students have "fledged" into diverse career paths -- the law, human and
veterinary medicine, dentistry, public health, medical technology, and
environmental assessment (these are just the ones we know about).
Some have also continued on in graduate school studying evolution, ecology,
and conservation biology.
Ornithology Alumni: we are
very interested in hearing from you. Where are you now? What
is new in your life? This is NOT a solicitation for donations.
We're really interested in you. Please, e-mail Kim (ksnipes@austincollege.edu)
with your update. With your permission, the general information you
provide will be posted on this page. To help you make contact with
your fellow "nestmates", we can also post your e-mail address here (again,
only with your permission).
