• appropriate/pertinent description of study area or lab set-up

• clear and concise presentation of results in text

• adequate sample size and appropriate statistical tests

• appropriate presentation of results of statistical tests

• appropriate summary of data in tables or graphs

• evidence of grasp of statistics used

Discussion:
 

• clear and concise summary of findings

• thoughtful interpretation of findings in evolutionary context

• critical evaluation of work in light of previously published information

• critical evaluation of work and changes that could improve it
