It is useful to recognize the full form of a verb quickly and now that we know the subjunctive mood we can identify five aspects of verb forms. These are: person, number, tense, voice, and mood. Identifying these features is called parsing. Parsing is not an end in itself, but it is a convenient way to check how well you know your forms. If you have consistent problems with a particular aspect of the verbs, you should take the opportunity to review it after this exercise. Note that it is usually helpful to identify the four principal parts of the verb before parsing it, since conjugation makes all the difference in determining tense and mood.
