Introduction to Southwestern and Mexican Studies
A Collaborative Research Seminar

During the spring semester of 2007, ten Austin College students particpated in a research seminar dealing with the introduction to Southwestern and Mexicans Studies. This is an interdisciplinary class that examines the social, cultural, artistic, and polticial aspects of Texas and the border region.

Each student researched and wrote a biographical analysis of an important Texan whose accomplishements have made an important contribution to the culture and society of  Texas and the Southwest.
