This server is no longer being maintained. It resides here as an example of one of the first K-12 World Wide Web Servers, one of the best of its kind when it was conceived.


Providing Texas resources and a view of the future to the K-12 educational community since December 1993. Web66 lists Armadillo as the second K-12 www site.

The Armadillo's WWW Server started with Armadillo -- The Texas Studies Gopher. It will continue to be developed in conjunction with the Armadillo Gopher, branching out with more detailed and richer resources. There will be some dust and debris as this linking and building proceeds. If you have any comments or suggestions, please send them to armadillo@rice.edu.
