Three students will be chosen at random to try their hand at conducting the orchestra!

The 2018 Children’s Concerts were a great success!  Over 2000 students from area school districts in Texas and Oklahoma were in the audience learning about the instruments of the symphony orchestra and about the different types of classical music.  In addition to the pieces we play, which help explain what classical music is all about, we always invite three students to guest conduct the orchestra.  Every year these students are fantastic; one of our recent fifth-grade conductors was even dressed in a tuxedo!  We hope you had a great experience and that you saw yourself on TV or read about the concert in the Herald Democrat.

If your school missed the concert last year, why not start making plans to attend this year’s concert?  November 7, 2019.  Call (903) 813-2251 to make your reservation.  Don’t miss your chance!
