Austin
College embraces the
philosophy that the cultural learning and awareness fostered through
foreign study is an important part of a liberal arts education.
Studying abroad can extend the curriculum of the College beyond the
resources of the campus, generate both intellectual and personal
sensitivity to the variations of life, culture, and scholarship in the
world, and thus contribute to responsible citizenship. The purpose
of study abroad is to enhance and complement campus educational
experiences and to promote global citizenship.

to study abroad, but none of them more important than gaining an
international perspective on the ever-changing world. The knowledge that
