The great amount of work that had to be
done in other directions and the great money pressure that has been on the country lately
together with general alarm about yellow fever has prevented me from doing anything lately
in money matters except to collect as far as possible debts and subscriptions already due.
. . The College owed the Financial Agent $531.25 on the 9th day of Nov. 1872. Since then
he has been paid $12.17. So that now the College owes said agent $1,819.08 without
charging interest.
