Always use Stairs during FIRE ALARMS.  Elevators can become death traps in a FIRE emergency if power is lost.










 
 
Since heat and smoke rise, your chances of survival are greater if you stay close to the floor.
 


 


Use a towel or clothing to seal off the door.  Stay at the window,
and wave a towel of other item to signal your location.
 


 

Other Important Fire Safety Tips:

If you discover a FIRE, pull the local alarm handle immediately.

Never try to fight a FIRE alone.
