The Dennis Gallery, named for Wilma and Terence Dennis and housed in the Forster Arts Complex, is one of the primary spaces on campus for the exhibition of work by visiting artists, the other being the Ida Green Gallery.

The Art & Art History Department brings in several professional artists every year in order to expose students to different styles, methods, media and philosophies of art and art making. Typically, in addition to displaying her or his work on campus in Dennis or one of our other galleries, a visiting artist will also spend time working with students. This interaction may, for example, take the form of a lecture, a gallery talk, a critique of student work, or a classroom demonstration. The visiting artist programs are excellent opportunities for students and members of the Austin College community to widen their perspectives by engaging the artists one-on-one and meeting people involved in the arts in a variety of different ways. Occasionally, faculty will also exhibit their own work, or the work of students in the Dennis Gallery. Additionally, an annual End of Year Student Exhibition is held on a rotating basis in the Dennis and Ida Green Galleries.
