Note from CNG: "In RIC, Sutherland and Carson attributed all coins of this type to the mint at Trier, stating that 'the portrait style is indubitably that of Trier' (RIC VI, pg. 162). However, in the opinion of this cataloguer, the difference in bust styles is so blatant that it precludes a single mint theory. In fact, from the many examples handled, it would appear that most western mints struck this unmarked issue."
